Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

General Description:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance . Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions in electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. Maintains the facility. Installs new equipment. Adheres to all plant policies and rules. Maintains exceptional safety and housekeeping standards.

Essential Functions:

• Exceptional attendance including working every day, on time, as scheduled.
• Strong desire to work safely and help others also work safely. Takes primary responsibility for their own safety. Follows all policies and procedures. Understands safety is a condition of employment.
• Maintains all housekeeping.
• Ability to respond on a 24-hour basis to plant breakdowns.
• Performs equipment installation on complex equipment.
• Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on complex equipment.
• Performs diagnostic troubleshooting using schematic drawings, wire drawings, and technical manuals.
• Replace or repair worn or defective parts.
• Works with electrical distribution centers.
• Performs basic welding, machinists, millwright, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Assists technicians in other crafts with troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Performs daily inspection of facility, record findings, and report findings to maintenance coach.
• Assists in the development of preventative and predictive maintenance plans.
• Completes and closes assigned work orders using plant maintenance system.
• Ability to safely operate forklift and aerial equipment.
• Any and all duties as assigned.

Beneficial Experience and Skills:

• Experience installing conduit and wiring.
• Minimum of three years of experience in electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational school diploma and/or apprenticeship in industrial, electrical, mechanical maintenance or electronics is preferred.
