Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Planning and Scheduling Coordinator to join our Customer Training & Scheduling department based in Miami, FL.

This position is located in Miami, FL.

You will be part of a team supporting the day to day Planning and scheduling flight training activities as well as the proper allocation of instructor assignments. This applies to Flight Training projections, based on the training forecast requested by the Airlines.

As a leading commercial aircraft manufacturer, our pilot training members in the Airbus Training Center work closely with our pilot customers to make sure they have the education that best fit their needs to operate our aircrafts safely and effectively.

Your Working Environment:

The Airbus Training Center (ATC) in Miami provides flight and maintenance crew training for Airbus airline customers – primarily for those based in the Americas. The custom-designed, 110,000-square-foot complex trains more than 2,000 cadets each year in a range of (six) full-flight simulators, innovative computer-based training classrooms, and cabin door and slide trainers – all simulating the A320, A330, A340 and A350 XWB families of aircraft. In Miami you’ll also find the Airbus Latin America headquarters. A team of 60 employees there provides sales, marketing, contracts, customer support and communications for the region’s commercial aircraft, helicopters and space & defense divisions.

Your Challenges:

Planning and Scheduling: 55%

  • Ensure that all key milestones of customer training projects are fulfilled on schedule
  • Ensure proper and effective utilization of all training resources such as Simulators, classrooms, trainers, etc
  • In charge of assigning resources to all planned wet courses abiding by Training Center and customer constraints
  • Action daily changes to our projections for various reasons ie, instructor medical status, device failures, etc
  • Contribute to regular risk assessments in order to minimize disruption to planned customer training in coordination with the TPMS;
  • Observe and study a rolling 1-year training plan that ensures the necessary simulators resources are available to satisfy customer demand.
  • Assist Training Sales department by informing them of forecasted customer training workload as well as of forecasted course availability.
  • Monitor and revise, as needed, short medium and long term training course planning.

Customer Administration Management: 25%

  • Establish and maintain regular direct contact with stakeholders within Customers training organizations
  • Support the sales team by capturing customers’ additional needs;
  • Develop and maintain close working contacts with internal stakeholders of the process “Deliver Customer training”: Local ATC departments, TPSMs & contract administration.
  • Participate in the contract handover meeting and receive the support of the TPSM to guarantee smooth continuation of customer relationship;

Support: 10%

  • Answer and schedule customer requests when Planning is not available
  • Training Coordinator back up
  • Back up to other scheduler
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Your Boarding Pass:

Education:

  • Required: High school degree

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of four (4) years' experience in a clerical/administrative position or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in spreadsheets, email and file management
  • Preferred: Experience in the aviation industry is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of database and records management
  • Team player with good work ethic, ability to be flexible and work under pressure

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Required: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, comfortable with public speaking, and outstanding telephone presence.
  • Required: Proficient English level.
