Qualified candidates will be responsible for unloading barges, loading, and unloading bulk liquid trailers, basic maintenance activities, certain manufacturing activities, upkeep of operational documents, and promoting a safe work environment by adhering to Delta Companies safe work practices and watching out for fellow employees. Training and guidance will be provided.

Qualifications and Competencies
• Mechanical experience: welding, pipe fitting and other mechanical experience (preferred)
• Commitment to being on time (required)
• Basic computer skills (required)
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. (required)
• Ability to take direction and follow instructions.
Language Skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in the terminal.
Physical Demands

• The noise in the work environment is sometimes loud.
• The employee must regularly work with hazardous materials (hot liquid asphalt) and chemicals.
• The employee is periodically exposed to outside weather condition, and fumes or airborne particles.
*This job sometimes requires overtime including working weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts to provide continuous Coverage for customer delivery/pickup. The employee's daily starting and quitting times may need to be changed in order to meet changing business requirements.
