Responsibilities:
The Principal Associate Scientist will be responsible for initial characterization testing, annual re-qualification and trending of early-phase siRNA reference materials under the direction of supervisor/manager. Provide inter departmental support by ensuring continuous supply and life cycle management of reference materials throughout the organization, at contract research organizations and at contract manufacturers. Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-house characterization [including E260 analysis], qualification, and re-qualification testing of early phase reference materials and document appropriately in notebook or electronic notebooks.
Receive and handle requests from external contract labs/CMOs and internally to minimize or avoid any disruption to testing and supply.
Coordinate aliquoting and shipping of materials.
Perform and keep accurate inventory of reference materials up to date.
Generate review reference material Certificates of Testing, characterization protocols and reports. Extend re-test dates for reference materials, where applicable.
Contribute data to characterization and structure elucidation sections of regulatory submissions and responds to agency requests on these sections, where applicable.
Performs testing or data analysis of siRNA utilizing the following analytical techniques: pH, Osmolality and UV Assay
Assist with troubleshooting on as needed basis
Coordinate aliquoting and shipping of materials. Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in a science field, preferably chemistry or biochemistry Pay ranges between $45-59/hr based on experience
