Production Machine Operator

Job Title: Production Machine Operator 2nd or 3rd shifts

Location: Freeport, Illinois 61032

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 an hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Monthly Incentive Bonus = max $200.00/month upon reaching Company goals.

Additional Shift Differential: 2nd shift = .50/hour; 3rd shift = $1.00/hour

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift

• Monday to Friday

• Overtime

• Weekends as needed

Client Details:

The client is a metal fabrication located in Freeport, Illinois. They specialize in the manufacturing of metal products, such as shear panels, roll-formed products, and metal building systems.

Job Description:

• Installs and feeds progressively smaller dies in the machine and repeats operations until wire diameter meets work order specifications

• Inserts wire into the machine feeds mechanism starts machine, and monitors machine operations.

• Turn setscrews to secure the roller die in the machine

• Loads spool of wire on spindle and threads wire through machine and around take-up reel.

• Starts machine and adjusts controls to regulate speed and temperature to required specifications.

• Record production information in computerized or manual system packets.

• Performs daily safety and mechanical checks of the machine the employee is working on to ensure the machine is safe and running properly.

• Maintain safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• 1yr Machine Operation experience.

• Able to work well within a team environment.

• Able to work overtime when needed.

• Basic knowledge, able to operate a Windows based personal computer

• Self-directed – able to work efficiently with little direct instruction

Physical Requirements:

• Machine operator requires many physical aspects 100% of the time standing/walking/pulling/bending.

MUST HAVE STRONG WORK ETHIC AND BE DEPENDABLE

• Machine Operator: 1 year (Required)

• Fork Lift: 1 year (Required)
