Position Summary:The Morales Group has been retained to fill the role of Quality inspector for a localmanufacturing supply chain organization. The Quality Inspector Performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to: a) the support and understanding our Quality Management System, Quality Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions, b) supports all departments in any quality functions as required, c) supports the Quality Management Team in developing / maintaining plant-wide systems, processes, d) is responsible for the timely completion of projects as assigned, and e) strives for continuous improvements in all quality functions.
Essential Functions:- Inspects parts produced by MSW’s assembly associates to make sure non-conforming parts do not ship to MSW’s customers.
- Enters Quality Inspection records in MSW’s manufacturing software.
- Works closely with all Team Leaders and advises of any material or product quality problems.
- Reviews non-conforming parts that our poke-yokes have locked down in assembly equipment. Unlock equipment, removes and writes up the non-conforming part.
- Maintains records and processes all scrap and rework in a timely manner.
- Performs first, in-process and last piece inspections of our production processes.
- Maintains quality systems and procedures as outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual, Procedure Manual, and Work Instructions.
- Identifies / Assists in the resolution of customer complaints.
- Works closely with management and fellow employees to keep an “open line” of communications to achieve “team concept” goals of our organization.
- Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions.
- Helps sorts product when a defect has been found.
