  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • ASQ Certified Internal Auditor preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques, SPC, FMEA.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word. Microsoft Access preferred
  • Quality Engineering experience in the Aerospace industry preferred.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of the company quality system requirements. This position will also provide additional support through review of process data and analysis for improvement opportunities. Essential Functions :

  • Establish and support quality material review process including the disposition of nonconforming material
  • Provide quality support for the evaluating, testing, analyzing, dispositioning, and implementing corrective actions from internal and or external nonconformance
  • Develop communication, corrective action processes and continuous improvement programs for supply base
  • Coordinate inspection requirements on critical items manufactured by subcontractors.
  • Identify and drive execution for process improvements relating to quality.
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our value stream using analysis techniques (statistical analysis, problem solving, process mapping, SPC, Root Cause, etc.)
  • Deliver organizational improvement through reporting of the performance of the Quality System and quality issues (i.e., non-conformance, process capability, audit results, corrective & preventive action, customer rejections, etc.)
  • Assist in implementation and management of business unit QMS system for standardized modules. CAPA, Supplier Management, Document Control, Audit Management, Training, NCR, Management of Change.
  • Manage Document Control process and assisting with preparation/revision of Standard Work Procedures, Visual Control Documents, and data collection forms.
  • Support quality record methods to ensure process data entry and reporting demonstrates conformance to requirements.
  • Manage and ensure compliance on gauge calibration system.
  • Provide statistical analysis of process performance and capability as requested by engineering and commercial sales
  • Conduct internal and external quality/safety audits.
  • Supports APQP and launches of new product programs including prototype, FAI, and all PPAP elements as required
  • Communicates and interacts with all levels of personnel within the organization
