Senior Electrical Engineer

Seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to lead projects to design, development, and validate of electrical control systems.  Also responsible for Sustaining Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Support to Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing Production Control and Sales for existing products.   

Essential Job Functions

• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components and systems as a part of new product development.
• Manages projects from concept and design, through completion and release to production.
• Ensures project success by meeting schedule, budget, performance, and quality requirements.
• Produces project technical file documentation that includes prints, engineering files, supplier communications and Engineering Change Notices (ECN's).
• Leads and participates in product design reviews and risk assessments.
• Ensures design meets the requirements of all regulatory requirements (CE UL/CSA).
• Supports continuous improvement of all existing Products.
• Provides production support to maintain quality and production output.
• Provides technical support to Purchasing, Tech Service and Sales as needed.
• Serves as mentor to other engineers and technicians within the company, helping them develop their design, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, delegating tasks and managing outcomes. 
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering. Master's degree a plus.  
• 5+ years of electrical design engineering experience.
• Skilled in designing, building, evaluating, and testing of industrial electronic and/or electrical circuits and components with working knowledge of:
  1. AC and DC power distribution
  2. Over current protection
  3. Safety circuit design 
  4. Servo motion control and BLDC motor control system design
  5. Power supply selection
  6. Analog, and digital system design
  7. PLC programming experience
• Knowledgeable in CE and UL/USA design requirements for industrial machine safety.
• Demonstrated creativity with strong analytical and technical expertise.
• Experience in a manufacturing/engineered product environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD including creation of schematics and electrical components.
• A high degree of flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks,
