Job Posting Title Senior SQE Job Description Summary Participates in the development of AAM’s external direct material supply base, including selection, and evaluation through system audits on site. Development of low performance suppliers (improvement plans, regular visits, audits). For Supplier Development tasks, will integrates within global Supplier Development structure of BU Powertrain worldwide. Ensures efficient problem solving and proper communication to customer plants using standard 8D processes, on-site when necessary. Job Description

• Execute PPAP activities as per established procedures and forms for program launches.
• Conduct PPAP activities for changes necessitating a PPAP.
• Provide support for and/or lead technical reviews and risk assessments – drive action items to closure
• Conduct supplier audits using the AAM second-party audit template.
• Perform capacity analysis as required, utilizing established processes.
• Conduct audits using AAM commodity control plans as necessary.
• Manage audit schedule based on supplier risk, new programs, launch and/or sourcing activity.
• Review supplier AIAG CQI self-assessments – request resolution of nonconformances where applicable.
• Assist plant quality teams in managing PRR activities for assigned suppliers.
• Leads quality investigations and problem solving of supplier responsible issues.
• Lead activities addressing emerging issues at supplier sites.
• Utilize own expertise as a subject matter expert or work with an SME to resolve issues at suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier processes for potential opportunities for continuous improvement or identification of gaps in the quality management system.
• Analyze problem supplier data when needed to enhance processes and prevent the delivery of substandard parts to AAM plants.
• Travel approximately 35% of the time to AAM facilities and suppliers.
• Engage & participate in DEI initiatives
• Complete all required training (job specific, organizational, or corporate, etc…)

Required Skills And Education

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related areas of study.
• Experience working in automotive industry or related field.
• Proficiency in automotive related manufacturing processes (machining, castings, electronics, etc.)
• Knowledge of AAM SQE tools, policies, and systems
• Understands interpretation and application of global quality standards (ISO-9001 & IATF-19649, and VDA 6.3)
• Understanding of basic GD&T
• Experience with auditing or evaluating quality operating systems.
