Sewing Machine Operator

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sew and close all filled items after the filling process.
• Ensure each item is sewn neatly, meeting all required quality standards.
• Maintain sewing machines, equipment, and tools used in daily work.
• Assist in other areas when necessary, including inspection and pack-out.
• Maintain or exceed the pace needed to achieve hourly/daily output set by the Production Supervisor.
• Help maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED equivalent, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience sewing in a production line or commercial facility.
• Experience operating both single needle and serger sewing machines is required.
• Proficient in sewing techniques with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to maintain and troubleshoot sewing machines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Adaptability to perform various tasks as needed in a dynamic production environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
