Hourly:

Hourly Wage Scale: $16.84-$18.71 USD hourly + Benefits (+ Bonus) 

The hourly range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, exact compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.

Shift Differential Pay:

Swing - $0.15

Graveyard - $0.75

SUMMARY

Maintains required product length and size standards per customer and company specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
  • Observes operation of equipment to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Performs minor machine preventative maintenance checks.
  • Sets up grader shaker screens to meet product specifications per supervisor’s instructions.
  • Communicates any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, or deviations from specifications to poly operator lead.
  • Removes off cuts and defects from shakers and conveyor belts as needed and disposes them in appropriate area.
  • Collaborates with employees in various departments.
  • Adheres to all company and plant policies, work rules, and procedures.  
  • Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.                            
  • Communicates any problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
  • Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
  • Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
  • Participates in continuous improvement process.

The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY

Responsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.

Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.

Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.

Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold.

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
