They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.What your background should look like:RESPONSIBILITIESDrive and engage cross functional teams to conduct root cause analysis on both internal and external quality issues and formulate resolutions in a timely manner. Also, to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of actionsBe the first contact for customer complaints and concerns, providing quick and accurate responses.Keep close contact with customers, being the link between customer and the plantAssist Manufacturing Engineering in development of acceptable process values and associated monitoring for key componentsWork with Product Engineering on new product development concerning inspection methodologies and tolerancingKEY REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality or related technical field, preferredExcellent time management skills to manage multiple projects and demandsPrevious experiences in stamping, plating and automatic assembly processes.Spanish speaking is a plusTECHNICAL COMPETENCIESKnowledge and practical experience of quality tools including, but not limited to, FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5-Y problem solving tools.Ability to influence and drive cross functional teamwork, ability to work well with internal and external customers, and with other culturesAbility to direct identification of root cause, drive improvement actions and resolve problemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working within an SAP environment is a plusCompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, InnovationAbout TE ConnectivityTE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
