Position – Supervisor-Operations

Job Location –  Appleton WI

Starting Date –  As soon as possible

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type –  Full-Time + OT

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st shift, 2nd shift

Starting Pay – $30+

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Schedule work assignments, and directly supervise employees, participate in hiring, onboarding and performance management.

• implement production targets, support continuous improvement initiatives

• Conduct training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Assist with specifications for required material handling equipment, racking, and dock equipment.

• Coordinate stock shortage shipments and rework of returned goods with Production Dept.

• Keep management informed on general conditions and on matters of importance, which could impact quality, cost, safety or employee morale.

• Provide safety and job skills training

• Ensure the completion of all required records, paperwork, documents, etc.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Ensure the maintenance of equipment and departmental housekeeping standards.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, maintenance environment, union experience a plus

• Knowledge of distribution operating systems, MS Office suite and business processes, SAP experience preferred

• Strong leadership skills.

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written including the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
