- Oversee and manage tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations across various entity types, with a primary focus on individual taxes.
- Review financial statements and execute accounting tasks such as adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and client bookkeeping.
- Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals and corporations.
- Monitor client deliverables and deadlines diligently.
- Handle complex tax research and provide detailed memoranda outlining findings and recommendations.
- Navigate IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices effectively.
- Engage directly with clients, colleagues, management, and tax authorities on diverse tax matters.
- Lead the department in enhancing software, processes, and workflows. Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 4-10+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate expertise in individual tax compliance and planning.
- Proficiency in tax research tools like RIA is preferred.
- Experience with gift, estate, and trust returns is advantageous.
- Knowledge of partnership tax is a plus.
