Team Leader - Module Production

The Production Team Leader is responsible for ensuring Team Members have the proper tools and equipment to perform their jobs, and leads Team Members to produce non-defective quality parts to Mobis customers.

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Ensure that all Team Members’ equipment and work stations are cleaned daily
• Ensure Team Members have the proper tools and equipment to perform their jobs
• Ensure that product defects are repaired, minimized, and returned to proper location
• Monitor product inventory and communicate with Material Handling
• Assist and provide relief for Team Members to ensure the production line continues to move
• Create and maintain a positive working environment that enhances team spirit
• Meet daily production goals through continuous improvement and teamwork
• Provide guidance and on-the-job-training to Team Members
• Communicate with Team Members concerning expectations, performance, and any changes
• Support company values and goals to establish a world class organization
• Utilize all quality tools and support total-quality-management within the workplace
• Ensure that all work is performed within specification and bill of material
• Maintain housekeeping to 5S standards
• Conduct or participate in team and safety meetings, and promote safety within the workplace
• All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

Required Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent, plus two years of experience in manufacturing

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Basic computer skills
Knowledge of process work instructions according to IATF16949 requirements
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
