Job Description - Waste Water Treatment Site Manager

THIS OPPORTUNITY REQUIRES TRAVEL TO OTHER PLANTS FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT AND ALSO BE PRESENT AND INVOLVED DURING THE GROUNDBREAKING AND CONSTUCTION OF THE NEW FACILITY.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Plant Manager is someone with a natural ability to lead. This quality enables them to oversee a diverse team of manufacturing plant employees, to attract and develop employees with capability to achieve factory goals, to ensure a safe and productive work environment, and to exhibit excellent interpersonal communication with employees, upper management and business partners. Further, the Plant Manager has good thought leadership to enables problem solving and developing unique approaches to attract and motivate employees.

The Plant manager will work closely with upper management to understand expectations for the factory and will optimize performance of the factory to meet goals set for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Their job includes setting budgets, monitoring actual performance, and developing a team with the skills required to consistently deliver on the factory objectives. This will be achieved by performing the following duties.

DUTIES:

• Set forth the vision for the Anderson factory, building a culture that motivates employees, achieves goals, and drives high employee job satisfaction.

• Exhibit a high degree of skill leading the technical aspects of the operation. This includes leading and/or developing people who can lead a high performing Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering functions for the factory.

• Develop a team of people that is capable of building high quality resin for both the Re-pro and Formulated Resin business

• Set goals for the factory and monitor performance; including an operating budget and goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost. Hold daily production meetings as deemed necessary, and make adjustments to accomplish the factory goals.

• Develop solutions to daily operational problems and interface with support departments as needed.

• Provide a clean and safe work environment and maintain safety procedures that will minimize or eliminate risks.

• Create a strong employee base through mentoring, training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations as necessary.

• Ensure quality systems are well functioning in order to meet product quality standards. Ensure all products comply with customer, regulatory and ASTM requirements

• Responsible for continuous improvement activities, such as 5-S, lean objectives, etc.

• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers and upper management in solving work problems.

• Limited travel, primarily local to customers/suppliers/service providers as needed.

• Perform other duties as directed by the President and COO

• First Pass Yield of 98% (quality done right the first time)

• External PPM of <1,000

3. Delivery:

• Build a production plan that is stable and meets customer demand without chaos

• Deliver to Customers on time - 95% on time delivery

4. Cost:

• Continuous improvement – with people embracing change

• Deliver Factory productivity goals

• Implement and monitor 5S. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
