Position Title: Weld Fitter

Location: Auburn Hills

Shifts Needed: Day or Night

Days | Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p Nights | Monday- Friday 4p-2:45a + Saturday 12p-6p

Character of Position

As a Weld Fitter , you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing
• Construct structural components from raw materials
• Use welding equipment to fuse structural components
• Inspect fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size
• Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed
• Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications (fit and tack)
• Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed
• Certified in TIG and MIG welding
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
• Other duties as assigned

Experience

• Proven experience working as a fitter
• Minimum of 2 years' experience

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
