Job Description
Norco, Inc. is currently offering a signing bonus of $1,500.00 for this position. Details of the signing bonus can be discussed during the interview. ( Applies to full-time direct new hires only)
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Service Technician position. The Service Technician services various types of welding and automation equipment in an efficient, accurate manner. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Trouble shoot and repair various types of automation and welding equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and functional testing on various types of automation and
welding equipment - Ability to work in shop on both plasma and welding equipment
- Enter service orders and research customer records on computer
- Certify equipment to manufacturer standards
- Set-up and install new welding and automation equipment
- Performs other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications
- Electrical/electronic technician degree or prior experience as automation or welding repair technician
- Lift equipment from floor to work bench weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Ability to move equipment weighing over 100 lbs
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, AC drives and 3 axis machines a plus
- Possess strong mechanical, electrical and electronic skills
- Read repair orders, manuals, reports, computer screen, etc.
- Complete tasks and solve problems independently with little supervision
