SHIPPING + RECEIVING + YARD DUTIES

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving / Yard Helper to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with shipping, receiving, and yard duties. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products in and out of our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and checking for damages or discrepancies.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and arranging for transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse and yard areas.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials and products as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age +
• Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
