This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time.  The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As an Accountant for John Deere Financial (JDF) Worldwide Headquarters located in Johnston, Iowa, you will:

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Represent the Accounting Services Department while providing support to other areas of accounting or other cross-functional groups.
• Support monthly trial balance review process, researching general ledger account balances, identifying significant differences and making corrections as needed.

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years of experience working with general ledger activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• 2 or more years of experience using Microsoft applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of integrated system of internal controls followed at John Deere.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with John Deere Financial systems/applications including MARS, Infolease, Service Desktop, Debt Manager, Business Objects, SAP and Cash Processing Application (CPA).
• Experience with Blackline including reconciliations, tasks and journals.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Detail oriented, analytical and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
