Accounting Specialist

VENTEON Finance is hiring an ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST to provide support for an Automotive Supplier in Clinton Township, MI. Assist them in getting vendors paid, generating and submitting bills, and basic accounting activities. POSITION TYPE:Contract-to-Hire PAY: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on education/skill level. Requirements of Accounting Specialist:

• Degree nice to have but not required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles required.
• Minimum 5 years of Accounting experience that includes Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and process debits/credits as needed.
• Automotive or Manufacturing industry desirable.
• Dependable, organized individual.
• Ability to start quickly.

• Retrieve and enter vendor invoices into the system charging the expense to the correct account.
• Obtain approvals to pay. Execute payment runs (Check, ACH, Wires, etc.).
• Generate and send invoices. Follow up on late payments when needed.
• Provide support for vendor and customer questions.
• Reconcile account differences.
• Make adjusting debit/ credit memos to correct account balances.
• Provide support for month end closing activities.
• Produce needed reports.
• Complete specials projects as assigned.
