We are looking for the right candidate to join our Accounts Payable Team in Virginia Beach, VA.

 

The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures accuracy and compliance of payments.

Duties & Tasks


1. Administrative assignments such as scanning, extracting documentation and workflow review

2. Monitor and respond to inquiries in the department’s email inbox, voicemail and fax

3. Support staff to ensure timely processing of payments through various software systems

4. Review payments and backup for accuracy

5. Research vendor inquiries about payments and invoices

6. Research unsolved checks & utility bills for payment/nonpayment

7. All other tasks as assigned by the manager.



 


Education:


• High School diploma or equivalent


Experience:


• Minimum one year of general office experience
• Preferred minimum of one year of accounts payable experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


• Ability to work in a high transaction volume environment
• Knowledge of accounts payable policies/procedures and best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel
• Good math skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Detail oriented and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Strong sense of teamwork and work ethic
