Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Director of Patient Marketing who be responsible for leading the development and execution of the brand strategy and associated tactics for VYJUVEK, focused on the patient segment. Key areas of focus for this role include the following: understanding consumer and market insights, ensuring a comprehensive patient & caregiver-facing marketing plan that includes tactics with clear performance metrics, and integration with HCP Marketing. This is a visible role with the organization and will require extensive cross-functional collaboration across the organization, with partners such as Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, & Sales.   Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Strategize and lead the development of key materials/tactics for the patient/caregiver audiences that align with brand strategy, including digital and social content, testimonials, and support programs
  • Work directly with advocacy partners as well as patient and caregiver ambassadors on educational initiatives and programming for patients and families
  • Lead patient/caregiver speaker program development & execution, including content development and speaker training
  • Ensures frequent collaboration with Patient Services and Patient Advocacy to identify and address key areas of need within the patient journey including addressing patient and caregiver barriers
  • Partner with market access, patient advocacy, and medical affairs teams to identify opportunities for collaboration and alignment in support of patient-centric initiatives.
  • Work closely with Commercial Operations to track and analyze patient-related metrics, driving continuous improvement in campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the brand, with a deep knowledge of the disease state, treatment landscape, patient journey, and market trends
  • Develops and delivers presentations as needed to senior leadership and other internal teams
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight required 
  • Manage multiple agency partners to produce deliverables on strategy within timelines and budget.
  • Accountable for proactive management of marketing activities to assure compliance with internal Company and external requirements
The ideal candidate is/has:
  • BS/BA with 8 years commercial experience including sales or marketing , with at least 2 years of patient marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience and marketing success in rare disease
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and regulatory/compliance environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement and communicate core brand positioning and messaging
  • Strong communication, organizational and operational skills, with attention to detail and sound business judgment
  • Proven project management skills including objective setting, prioritization, planning, timeline and budget management, and pull-though of clear action plans 
  • Ability to adapt and thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Travel approximately 25%
