Job Description - Associate Veterinarian

Hotham's Veterinary Services proudly serves  Aroostook County with offices in Presque Isle and Houlton, Maine. Known for being “The Star City,” Presque Isle has much more to offer than rural beauty and four distinct seasons. From friendly locals in our college town to farmer’s markets, the area is full of opportunity to enjoy microbreweries, outdoor activities, hiking to biking to skiing, there is something for everyone to experience and enjoy! What You’ll Be Working On ?

  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Diagnose, treat and manage a wide variety of small animal cases
  • Perform surgeries and dentistries, with opportunities for mentorship if desired
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work environment
  • Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
  • Collaborating with team veterinarians on critical care cases.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
  • Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Maine
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive team player who motivates staff with encouragement
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
