Best Buy Market Technician

The Best Buy Market Technician is responsible for ensuring that all stores in their market are clean, maintained, and meet our Best Buy brand standards. They perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. • Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.
• Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as minor plumbing repairs, drain cleanings, minor HVAC repairs, emergency response, cleanup work, painting, and wall patching.
• Drives a lift to perform cleaning, dusting, and light bulb changing.
• Performs janitorial work including spot cleaning, window washing, restroom maintenance, trash handling, and other housekeeping duties.
• Performs light carpentry including signage installation and display repairs.
• Performs light electrical replacement work such as changing ballasts and resetting circuit breakers.
• Performs roof inspections.
• Works with glues, carpet seem sealers, and stain removers.
• Documents defects found while performing inspections or checks.
• Tracks work orders and other key documentation.
• Completes all work orders and submits them to the corporate office.
• Manages parts and tool inventory.

Basic Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and preventative maintenance management
• 2 years of experience using communication and problem-solving skills
• 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role
• Current, valid driver's license
• Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Acquire gain and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire
• Able to push up to 100 pounds and carry up to 75 pounds
