Job Description - Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative position:

We are seeking a qualified full-time professional to serve as an influential liaison between the agency, hospitals, healthcare providers, and the medical community to foster communication and collaboration, promote agency goals, and elevate awareness of the comprehensive suite of services offered for our Nashville office. This position will cover the Robertson/Cheatham territory.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a proficient liaison between the agency, the medical community, and other agencies with the service area. Maintain a well-planned schedule and documentation of communication and contact with these individuals.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation within the client relations management system and any and all other required reporting platforms.
  • Assists the physician, hospital discharge planners, other referral sources, and patient care staff in coordinating professional and ancillary home care services.
  • Delivers orders to physician offices for signature in exceptional circumstances when immediate, urgent action is required per established protocols.
  • Participates in promotional activities or trade shows to market services.
  • Maintains a cooperative working relationship with the patient care staff and supports them in providing quality patient care.
  • Receives referrals from various sources and facilitates their seamless transfer to the Patient Operations department for processing and admission.
  • Monitors or visits all transferred patients who are receiving services from the agency. Coordinates with Patient Operations for home health resumption of care at the time of discharge.
  • Respects patients', physicians' and coworkers' right to privacy.
  • Refrains from engagement in any activities, directly or indirectly, that may compete with business or interests of the company.
  • Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, physicians, and co-workers, and refrains from disclosing any confidential information to unauthorized individuals or entities, including competitors or third parties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have previous experience in Home Health Care, marketing, and sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current and valid driver license, transportation, and auto insurance
  • Self-motivated and customer service oriented
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening
  • Applicant MUST live in the Middle Tennessee area to be considered
