Your tasks The OES Buyer will be responsible for driving direct cost savings through purchasing programs and procedures within the OES business in North America.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation and purchasing of all commodities used in the OES product portfolio.
  • Annual Supply Agreements ensure fixed price agreements/blanket orders are negotiated to cover materials/parts/services that are commonly purchased especially those items that are unique to OES in North America.
  • Support Phase Out Meetings with tool confirmation and suppler viability for the service life of the parts.
  • Vendor Deliveries responsible to work with Logistics to ensure the on time delivery of all parts, equipment and services that are required to satisfy very demanding customer schedules
  • Cost Data management Ensure the most accurate and up to date material costs are updated.
  • Ability to negotiate commercial terms and participate in negotiations of technical terms.
  • Communicates with vendors/suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Solicits bids, analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and delivery; interviews, selects and recommends vendor/supplier.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
  • Negotiate cost savings resulting from the batch build process.
Your profile
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field and 2+ years relevant professional experience OR 4+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to work in teams
Self driven
Well organized with ability to prioritize tasks Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business or other related field.
5+ Years of experience in Supply Chain with related purchasing experience.
SAP Experience Preferred
