Job Description - Continuous Improvement Engineer

Our client, a disruptive, global CPG company, is looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Engineer . This fast-growing company is looking for a driven, quick learner to implement processes and procedures for their planning strategy. Responsibilities include auditing suppliers, managing documentation, resolving non-conformances, conducting ongoing supplier reviews and cultivating relationships. The Continuous Improvement Engineer collaborates with procurement and R&D teams for strategic sourcing, business continuity and innovation commercialization.  Continuous Improvement Engineer Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies and develop comprehensive improvement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste and optimize resource utilization
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen and Total Quality Management (TQM) to streamline operations, eliminate bottlenecks and enhance overall performance
  • Utilize statistical tools and data analytics techniques to collect, analyze and interpret operational data, identify trends and generate actionable insights to drive informed decision-making and process improvements
  • Collaborate with various departments including production, quality assurance, supply chain and R&D to foster a culture of continuous improvement, align objectives and implement standardized processes and best practices
  • Provide training, coaching and support to employees at all levels to promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation and accountability, ensuring widespread adoption of improvement initiatives and sustainable results
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), develop dashboards and performance metrics to monitor progress, track improvements and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions
  • Drive organizational change by effectively communicating improvement initiatives, engaging stakeholders, addressing resistance and championing a mindset of continuous improvement and adaptation to change
  • Maintain accurate documentation of improvement projects, process changes and results achieved, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management review and decision-making
Continuous Improvement Engineer Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred
  • 1+ years experience in continuous improvement, process optimization or related roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in food or confectionery production
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and their practical application in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in using computer software, including MS Office, SAP, SharePoint and supplier management systems
