The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for leading the sales and customer service teams to expand distributorship of our products, build relationships, and drive revenue growth within the company.
By analyzing the overall business performance related to sales and marketing, managing and directing outside and inside Sales, and participating in inventory management this position will be key to giving accurate sales forecasts, ensuring good lead times, and execution of business strategies.
  • Develop strategic account plans that outline and communicate where we are today, where we want to go, and how we get there for each of the national accounts so a sales forecast can be created and maintained.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas including new product sales and development of new customer relationships to have revenue growth support the Company's annual business plan budget.
  • Develop and execute strategies / programs that will maximize sales while upholding our margins with our key accounts. Ensure that both short and long term strategies are developed and maintained on a frequent bases focusing on significant opportunities
  • Work with the sales, customer service, and production planning teams to ensure work orders are being fulfilled in a timely manner in accordance with plant capacity. As needed provide input to the Plant Manager for manufacturing capabilities equipment and personnel requirements to accomplish the plan.
  • Organize and lead sales and customer service meetings to ensure company plans and tactics are understood and being executed by all team members.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources at GMP to support the national accounts.
  • Work with the Product Development team to give input for new product ideas and feedback on new product development.
  • Ensure all company property are accounted for and maintained properly. Maintain travel and other territory expense budgets as assigned. Must report all company vehicle, business accidents, and moving violation tickets to supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and then (10) years of sales experience is required.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing or executing overall business or marketing strategies, and three (3) years of national or strategic sales role are preferred. MBA or Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach to achieving business results and working across internal teams.
  • Must be able to multitask, manage shifting priorities, and work independently to completion of tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively present information and communicate with top management of members, vendors, and employees. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Physical Demand Requirements
Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
