• Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales staff, overseeing room, food, beverage, and sundry sales commitments within the hotel as well as convention services 
• Administer staffing, training, and performance reviews for the Sales Department, ensuring adherence to performance standards. 
• Maintain a leadership role as a hotel Executive Committee Member, guiding strategic decisions. 
• Conduct research on travel industry trends, develop marketing strategies, and make recommendations to enhance market potential.
• Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, aligning with brand standards and conducting client entertainment activities. 
• Compile reports on Sales Department operations, analyze data to identify revenue opportunities, and develop annual Market Plans. 
• Negotiate marketing programs, evaluate market conditions, promote the hotel through communication initiatives, and motivate employees to drive performance. 
• Travel to target market areas, identify new visitor pools, and position the hotel as a premier business and resort destination. 
• Control budget allocation for optimal departmental results, ensuring compliance with company and hotel standards and policies. 

Qualifications and Expectations: 

• Strong oral and written communication skills for effective marketing and sales activities. 
• Ability to conduct property site inspections, travel to industry-related events, and handle various administrative tasks efficiently. 
• Flexibility to work varying schedules based on hotel business needs, including a minimum 45-hour work week.
