Job Description - Executive Director, Head of Middle Market for NY/NJ

Executive Director, Head of Middle Market for NY/NJ Country: United States of America

Provides senior leadership, overall supervision, direction and guidance to team members within their specialized markets. Determines the strategy for developing business, this includes directing all sales & service, expense controls, revenue goals, managing partnerships with Cash Management, Treasury, Credit Risk, Manufacturing and the community. Leading the Middle Market - NY/NJ business within Business Development to develop and implement performance objectives, policies, programs and strategic marketing and business plans. Plays a significant role in civic and community affairs to promote the bank and support business initiatives.

Identifies and pursues new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets. Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects. Works pre-developed lead lists to generate business and identify new customer prospects

  • Creates, manages and executes business sales strategies.
  • Manages a team of Relationship Managers
  • Proactively identifies prospects and cultivates relationships with Customers. 
  • Develops and implements strategies to close business deals. 
  • Makes presentations to potential clients and assists in growing and maintaining the client relationship. 
  • Establishes a strong partnership with the Credit Risk team and oversees the company's operations and activities to ensure achievement of the company's strategies, current goals and long-term goals.
  • Develops and implements strategic goals, objectives and assigned P&L responsibilities.
  • Sets, reviews and meets P&L targets and monitors expenditures and resource allocation against budget and goals.
  • Allocates and manages resources (e.g., people, processes and capital) to meet company objectives.
  • Develops and implements business strategies and policies that impact financial and operational performance.

Qualifications :

  • 12-15 years of broad-based commercial banking lending experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Ability to collaborate, lead & develop a strong group of Relationship Managers.
  • Deep network of business relationships and contacts within the appropriate market segment (companies with annual sales of $20MM to $2B).
  • Recognized as a true industry leader.
  • Extensive progressive managerial experience in business development, credit policy, credit analysis, risk management, banking regulation and commercial loan origination.
  • Skilled in identifying and defining problems, properly select and analyzes relevant facts to reach sound conclusions while exercising sound judgment.
  • Strong strategic and leadership skills.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$234,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$340,000.00 USD English

Other Locations:  New York-New York

Salary: $234,000 - $340,000/year
