We are currently seeking a Global Markets / Trade Lifecycle Process Design to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Team Overview:

Global Markets Project Management Office is dedicated team in the front office that delivers projects for Global Markets and support strategic priorities while minimizing delivery risk.  The team is comprised of highly skilled individuals who are entirely focused on structuring, prioritizing and managing change for Global Markets.  GM PMO’s aim is to maximize the value from projects and progress Global Market’s strategic priorities.  The team has a strong bias for action, knows how to get things done and is well-positioned to push through project-stalling hurdles. GM PMO also provides support function that can be relied upon to provide valuable guidance on all aspects of project delivery.

The New Project Manager will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Proactively build program structures, project plans, and governance routines to facilitate the end-to-end program management of highly complex and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Oversees the end-to-end delivery of multiple related material projects.
  • Affirms that all material business requirements are current, have been reviewed and are accurately satisfied for the program.
  • Represents, in partnership with technology, the health and status to business sponsor and other stakeholders.
  • Complete LOB Program/Project reporting by leveraging technology program/project reporting and supplementing with non-tech activities and deliverables. Manage reporting routines with senior executives and prepare all reporting documentation. 
  • Assess project materiality in partnership with Technology where applicable.
  • Navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively while building consensus with Front Office, Data, and Technology executives across all lines of business and support areas.
  • Remove obstacles and proactively challenges processes to ensure optimal workflow and decisions are made quickly.
  • Maintain a strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor their approach to drive optimal business outcomes.

Required Skills:

• Background in Global Markets (Institutional Brokerage) products and trade lifecycle processes, thus able to display knowledge of 1 or more related products (Credit and structured products, Mortgage-related and securitized products, Fixed income pricing and valuation, Municipals, Foreign exchange, Commodities, Rates, Equities and equity derivatives, Futures, options & OTC clearing, Financing and clearing, Global liquidity investment solutions, Prime services, Sustainable finance).

• Work experience in process design, program management, change adoption, organizational change management, and/or consulting within the Financial Services Industry (FSI)

• Experience in change initiatives related to business process change

• Ability to demonstrate multiple real work examples where change was made via process design, program management, and/or consulting within FSI

• Ability to lead a program with background in high level strategy roadmap work focusing on client experience, process consolidation, and/or platform consolidation

• Ability to work with front line, operations, and technology to develop future state design, size and scope effort, and develop implementation plans; strong ability to solution and navigate within an ambiguous environment.

• Ability to develop flexible project plans based on problem statements to get help guide large teams to get a project from "point A" to "point B"

• Process mapping, workflow creation experiences preferred.

• Strategic, logical, and creative thinker with experience performing current state analysis, designing future state processes/solutions, and assist in implementing process improvement opportunities

• Ability to create, define, and adhere to strong success metrics

• Ability to turn ideas and opportunities into strong business cases, including identifying cost saves or revenue opportunities and any related technology costs

• Excellent project management skills, including ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritize work and meet deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with various levels of SMEs and executive leadership

• Strong work ethic and desire to learn, with a proactive drive to demonstrate ownership and take initiative

• Knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint with the ability to easily adapt and explore new technology, tools, and applications

• Strong ability to influence and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results

Ability to quickly get up to speed on new programs, with strong initiative to get things done themselves

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for programs/projects specific to corporate change initiatives that have significant impact on how the company does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Project responsibility requires responsibility for staff and budget. Serves as primary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives. Communicates, influences and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Creates a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control. Ensures clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key program/project roles. Integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decisioning processes. Develop, maintain, and report on an overall integrated delivery plan. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes. Typically 10+ plus years of program management experience.
