Global Sourcing Manager

The Global Sourcing Manager - On Site oversees the activities of the Procurement, Material Control, and BOM departments. They develop policies and procedures for these departments based on scenario analysis, market trends, and cost. The manager creates global purchasing forecasts, conducts data analysis and audits of Bill of Material and Warehouse operations. They establish policy for making operations more efficient and assure quality objectives are achieved. The manager ensures contracts with suppliers and vendors are consistent with corporate objectives. They participate in major contract negotiations with top suppliers to secure consistent supplies and competitive prices. The manager reviews and approves large purchases. Responsibilities also include hiring, training, and managing employees in the Procurement, Material Control, BOM, and production scheduling departments. The manager must maintain a prominent level of interaction across all departments to ensure the completion of supply chain requirements in a timely, efficient, and detailed manner. They must have a sound understanding of business law, legal contracts, and various financial issues including cash flow and working capital.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related area
• Five years of experience in strategic sourcing in manufacturing
• Working knowledge of contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions
• Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
• Knowledge of accounting, lean production, and transportation
• Proven interactions with suppliers of direct and indirect product and services

Preferred Qualifications

• International sourcing experience
• Professional certifications a plus
