Job Description - HOA Coordinator

HOA Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Programs, the HOA Program  Coordinator   will handle the day-to-day operations of the HOA facility and pool. The individual must be able to lead a group of participants in educational and recreational activities as well as plan and execute events. The HOA Program Coordinator will demonstrate experience in aquatics, customer service, program innovation and supervision of staff. The individual will administer all programs in accordance with YMCA program goals. with specific focus on leadership of class curriculum and daily class structure. Coordinates lessons, rosters, schedules, and staff. With approval from the Senior Program Director of Aquatics, recruits, hires and trains staff and provides supervision at lesson times. The HOA Program Coordinator participates in Association-wide efforts in order to fulfill the operating objectives of the Association and in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Northern Colorado.

 

Salary Range:  $19.50 - 22.50/hour depending on experience and availability. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. Monitors daily operations to adhere to all YMCA health and safety standards and policies.
  2. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  3. Manages and ensures completion of all required trainings for self and staff in Training Home, in addition to any required in-person trainings.
  4. Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met, and safety procedures followed at all times.
  5. Maintains regular and timely communications with supervisor, other Y employees, parents, coaches other community members and organizations.
  6. Maintains an open, friendly, professional relationship with staff, parents, participants and community.
  7. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with HOA and community organizations.
  8. Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. This includes creating, implementing and scheduling sports program.
  9. Purchases and maintains equipment, parts and supplies as needed. Coordinates and schedules equipment maintenance and repairs.
  10. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations.
  11. Assists in the development and monitoring of program budget to meet fiscal objectives and takes appropriate action to correct variances. Completes all weekly and monthly paperwork in accordance with association policy.
  12. Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
  13. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints within 24 hours.
  14. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation
    in program.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 21 years of age or older
  2. One to two years related experience preferred.
  3. Requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
  4. Maintains applicable aquatics certifications as necessary (through the Y or other licensing agencies).
  5. Computer and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of
    the community.

All Employees   receive a free individual membership and anyone working 10+ hours receives a free family membership , 50-100% off our programs and if eligible, we contribute the equivalent of 10% of your salary to the   YMCA Retirement Fund .

 

Part-Time employees   also receive paid sick time at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

USD $19.50 - USD $22.50 /Hr.
