Position Summary:

This is a temporary position to develop the skills of a student enrolled in a high school technical trade program, and to evaluate their potential for future opportunity at Straumann. 

 

Job Description:

• Prepare daily micro-sections samples for production
• Operate manual machines including engine lathes and milling machines
• Operate CNC machinery with assistance of a Machinist to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to include SPC part inspection
• Follow procedures and quality requirements
• Clean and maintain machines
• Perform other duties assigned by management

 

Physical Attributes:

• Manual dexterity to work with small parts and hold tight tolerances
• Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a High School Technical/Trade machinist program

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and a commitment to learn, as well as to adopt good work habits
• Attention to fine detail and high quality
• A high standard of professional conduct, hard work ethic, and punctual attendance
