DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s Global Marketing Team is focused on maximizing the value of Amazon’s customer base for all Amazon properties worldwide. The team is highly results oriented, and at its core, focuses on leveraging in-house technology in order to automate and scale marketing programs that drive new customers and maximize lifetime value of Amazon customers through measurable marketing programs and channels. New customers include not only those new to Amazon overall, but also customers who are new to specific Amazon verticals or properties beyond Amazon.com. Lifetime value maximization is focused primarily on driving revenue and driving customers to take high value actions, which increase Amazon’s value to our customers. Teams within the marketing organization are tightly integrated, with teams focused on specific programs consisting of all the resources required to manage the program, including strategy, marketing, product management, technology and operations.

We are looking for a seasoned Manager of Product Marketing to join our Social Marketing team to help build our growing social media advertising team. The Social Marketing team is focused on leveraging all viable social media advertising channels to grow Amazon businesses. The team is looking for top notch marketers who can create successful automated advertising programs, execute a set of well-structured tests, roll out successful campaigns, and optimize performance over time against a clear set of performance goals. As a Manager of Product Marketing, you will be leading our strategic internal partnership programs with a focus on developing new marketing strategies, and influencing the development of technical automation and measurement solutions. This includes setting the strategy across partnerships like Amazon Fashion or Amazon Home, and building experimentation frameworks and influencing incrementality-based measurement across programs. The manager drives alignment on the overarching strategy and works across product, engineering, and social media external partners to launch automated programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in developing marketing strategy, deep diving into analytics, and be comfortable assessing marketing capabilities with the ability to prioritize and scale up successful strategies. This may include primary objectives such as: acquiring new customers, encouraging customers to take high value actions, and directly generating revenue. You will be familiar with the social media app landscape, and creating online marketing campaigns, A/B testing and excel in execution. Furthermore, you will be highly innovative and comfortable driving new programs from conception through execution in an ambiguous and fast paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of seasoned Product Marketing Managers including coaching, developing, and ensuring progress against goals.
• Develop team charter and forward-looking team-level experiment roadmap and annual goals.
• Produce financial forecasting and operational planning inputs and receive alignment from business and finance stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering to influence development of new automated programs from end to end.
• Define experimental frameworks and influence roadmaps for optimizing marketing campaigns.
• Define the metrics and processes needed to standardize the management of advertising.
• Work directly with social networks to understand advertising management capabilities and explore marketing campaign strategies.
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and teams to iterate on objectives and opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience managing teams
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with multiple groups of stakeholders
- Experience in e-commerce, digital products or entertainment industries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
