Mid Marketer :  Expected salary range of $101,000 to 127,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Sr. Mid Manager: Expected salary range of $136,000 to $171,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). 

Primary Purpose of Position

  • The company’s wholesale power marketing and trading organization is responsible for optimizing profitable strategies for a growing portfolio of generation assets and load obligations, as well as the implementation of risk management objectives.
  • The individual will play a key role in the day-to-day transactional activities with customers and counterparties that allow Mid Marketing to provide a significant contribution to the Commercial Business plan.
  • The position will appeal to an individual who: has a deep understanding of the energy business; is a strong communicator; thrives in a fast-paced environment; and has a record of driving business results in an evolving industry.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Develop and close transactional opportunities in accordance with the company's strategy.
  • Manage relationships with existing customers and counterparties and cultivate new relationships with prospects and industry centers of influence.
  • In concert with Trading, negotiate and execute transactions that opportunistically add value to the business and / or assist in the portfolio management goals of the Company.
  • Lead internal approval process for non-standard transactions, including coordinating with stakeholders in Legal, Credit, Risk, Structuring, Operations, Portfolio Management, and Trading.
  • Attend and represent company at industry meetings. Also attend regulatory meetings as necessary, to further understand the market and its drivers, with the goal identifying value-add opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications: Mid Marketer 

  • Undergraduate degree required with preferred concentration in technical or business-related area or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a power marketing/trading environment.
  • Has a strong ability to synthesize complex and conflicting data to develop solutions.
  • A proven track record of successfully working on cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of wholesale electricity markets, including experience with wholesale products such as term energy, capacity, transmission, and renewable energy credits.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to communicate complex topics among executives, internal partners, and counterparties.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability for significant overnight travel.

Minimum Qualifications: Sr. Mid Marketer

  • Undergraduate degree required with preferred concentration in technical or business-related area or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a power marketing/trading environment.
  • Has a strong ability to synthesize complex and conflicting data to develop solutions.
  • A proven track record of successfully working on cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of significant aspects of the wholesale electricity market, including experience with wholesale products such as term energy, capacity, transmission, and renewable energy credits.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to communicate complex topics among executives, internal partners, and counterparties.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability for significant overnight travel.
