Job Description - Online Learning Specialist

Hybrid Tuesday and Wednesday in office in Park Ridge. Are you passionate about creating engaging learning experiences? Join our client's team as an Online Learning Specialist and play a key role in developing and maintaining professional development programs for our global membership. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to design innovative course content, ensuring alignment with our client's strategic goals and initiatives. Job Summary:

  • Design specialized course content and evaluate curriculum to meet our client's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create engaging learning journeys for members at varying career stages.
  • Utilize our client's LMS, Docebo, to upload and maintain course content.
  • Support the growth of new Professional Development initiatives.


Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Delivery:

  • Own and maintain professional development curriculum projects, including learning deliverables and project milestones.
  • Revise existing course content to align with product goals and objectives.
  • Write and edit content for a global audience, ensuring clarity and relevance.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify development opportunities.
  • Develop content in various formats, including online courses, webinars, and micro-learning.
  • Evaluate existing content and recommend edits to enhance member experience.

Learning Experience Design:

  • Partner with external vendors on eLearning content and digital assets.
  • Project manage the learning experience design process.
  • Implement assessment strategies to measure learner knowledge and experience.
  • Utilize varied media and digital tools to achieve learning objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in learning experience design.

Product Implementation and Maintenance:

  • Assist with market research on improving current products and innovating new offerings.
  • Collaborate on future product development ideas.
  • Support the ideation process for new products from inception to market.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to enhance product offerings.

Learning Management System Support:

  • Maintain LMS learning assets, assessments, and content.
  • Conduct quality control reviews to ensure course elements function properly.
  • Administer communications through the platform.
  • Monitor and maintain the validity of the course catalog and member transcripts.


Education: Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Training and Development, or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of course/curriculum development experience. Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools preferred.

Required Skills & Qualities:

  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with LMS platforms.
  • Excellent copyediting and quality assurance abilities.
  • Organized with excellent project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Work on the computer and/or phone in a seated and/or standing position.
  • Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required.
