Job Description - Program Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Deputy Chief Public Health and Equity Officer and/or Assistant Director in the management and oversight of public health programs. Will oversee all aspects of these programs including community development, presentations, program schedules, and continual program development Additional responsibilities include data collection, program evaluation, reporting, writing, and grant writing. Other responsibilities include maintaining financial accountability for assigned functions and marketing and promoting the services of the department as required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelors’ degree in public health, health services, or related field is required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination and community outreach. Experience with project research is preferred. Knowledge of program administration, evaluation, and financial management is preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

A valid Texas State DL operator’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record
