Quality Engineer

Description:

• Oversees all plant launch activities (APQP, PPAP submissions, 8D, and customer compliance)
• Investigate customer issues and focus on quality containment, and determine root cause
• Define and implement corrective actions
• In-plant quality focus on conforming and non-conforming products
• Supplier focus, evaluating their effectiveness and processes, occasional supplier visits
• Receive and analyze data from Quality Technicians, make decisions based on Gauge R&R, SPC, stability, linearity, etc.

• Associates degree, or similar certifications
• Experience interacting with suppliers and/or end customers
• Knowledge of statistical tools
• PPAPs: review, approval and submissions
• Root cause analysis and investigations
• Corrective and Preventative Actions
• Energy and excitement toward making things better in the plant
  

Plus:

• Bachelors degree
• Previous experience in Quality Supervision or Quality Management
• A desire/passion for leading a team
• Automotive industry experience
