Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer , you will support and maintain the Lebanon, TN plant’s QMS (Quality Management System) to ensure that quality standards are met according to Coating Services and customer requirements (as directed by the TQM). Support the Lebanon plant’s Environmental, Health & Safety systems and programs as assigned to meet plant goals, Corporate and governmental regulations. Maintain customer satisfaction and assist in continuous improvement projects. You will report to the Technical Quality Manger. Responsibilities:

• Conduct and/or coordinate the IATF Internal Audit Program as assigned.
• Lead and facilitate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP process. activities possibly to include but not limited to: receiving & tracking parts, running samples, assist with rack development, collecting quality data, creating working instructions, PPAP docs.
• Lead and develop CI /Kaizen teams.
• Lead corrective action teams for customer 8Ds, root cause analysis, and reduction of issues.
• Oversee calibration of tools & perform Gauge R&Rs.
• Log customer complaints and investigations.
• Audit processes as assigned, examples are Product audits, process audits, control plan audits, Internal Audits, ICP audits, Spill prevention audits, etc…..
• Make and edit Master Documents and manage document control.
• Update and upload Work Instructions into MITS.
• Perform training on new/revised quality standards or processes
  

Qualifications :

• BS in Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 2-5 years' of relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable of quality engineering standards and processes including IATF/TS 16949, APQP, ASQ, Root Cause Analysis, Data Analysis, PPAP, and AIAG requirements.
• Black Belt or ASQ Certification is desirable
• Previous leadership experience or experience taking a lead on Kaizen or Improvement projects is desirable.
