Job Description - Coordinator of Events

Coordinator of Events Location Indianapolis, IN : USA Football - Coordinator of Events Job Title: Coordinator of Events Reports To: Manager of Events Positions Directly Supervised: None About USA Football: USA Football is the governing body of American football in the United States, the sole US member of the International Federation of American Football, and a recognized sports organization of the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Its non-profit mission includes designing and delivering premier educational, development, and competitive programs for American football, including tackle and flag football. USA Football is the only organization that selects and organizes men's and women's US National Teams in federation-sanctioned international competition. Job Function: This position is responsible for the planning and execution of USA Football's portfolio of events. Job Responsibilities:
  • Works collaboratively across units and departments to activate innovative programming and events solutions to be delivered to USA Football stakeholders
  • Supports the planning and execution of events
o Coordinate and execute operational and logistical planning for various events o Coordinate and execute event elements such as event registration set up, hotel operations, catering F&B, equipment ordering, asset movement, inventory, organization of storage unit, and event teardown/setup o Work directly with suppliers, facilities, hotels, and catering vendors and partners o Recruit, hire and coordinate operations staff, volunteers, officials and athletic trainers to work all of USA Football events under manager oversight o Onsite event execution o Resolve problems before, during and after events o Assists with meeting assigned metrics and measures for each event, including reconciling event expenses and budgets o Work with the events team to follow best practices that continually improve the quality of USA Football events o Work in collaboration with various USA Football Departments which support events including Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Finance. o Other duties as assigned Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year experience with a sports team, athletic department, or event operations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office experience (including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Manage several types of personalities
  • Detail-oriented and organized; ability to multi-task and solve problems (including hands-on problems)
  • Quality writing and communication skills
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and work ethic
  • Open to frequent travel to events
  • Knowledge and understanding of youth sports, the role of NGBs and USA Football's mission and function
  • Ability to travel frequently for extended periods of time with heavy travel in Spring and Summer. Estimated travel is 30-40% of year.
As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: Min $35,840, Mid $44,800, Max $53,760 This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time remote position. Travel Estimated travel is 30-40% of year. Salary We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Salary range for this position is Min $35,840, Mid $44,800, Max $53,760, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
