Job Title – Paralegal (Hybrid)

Start Date – 8/10/24

End Date – 8/9/25

Pay Rate - $85-$100 per hour as an Independent Contractor

Location - NYS Department of Financial Services One State Street, New York, NY 10004 - 50% Remote

Job Description : Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Supports Director of Internal Controls on key initiatives for Research & Innovation

• Supports the build-out of or enhancements to internal policies and procedures.

• Reviews division policies and procedures and monitors implementation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal.

• Must have Paralegal certification.

• Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proven communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel.

Additional information :

-Overtime is not likely but possible

- A background check and fingerprinting will be required, including verification of education and employment

- Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.

- Client does not provide parking, but the office is accessible by bus or subway

- Client currently has a 50% telecommuting policy in place.
