Senior Editor and Public Affairs Specialist (Senior Marketing Specialist)-(240000T2)
The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a dynamic and energetic communications and marketing professional in its Office of Public Affairs and Communications to serve in a variety of writing, editorial, design, social media and program management roles. The position will play a key role in communicating the School's leadership in transforming the future of medicine to its key audiences.
Specifically, the position will serve as the lead editor and designer of the School of Medicine's e-Newsletter, develop, and manage social media, activities, plan and coordinate community health education programs, and assist in key presentations for the Office of Public Affairs & Communications.
The ideal candidate will possess particular strengths in each of these areas: writing, design and program/ event management.

Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in English, journalism, or communications.
Experience: Three (3) years of related communications, marketing, media, public or client relations experience.
Prior experience in the following areas is preferred:

Certification/Licensure: N/A
Other: Related experience may be substituted for education
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Hiring Range: $70,000 - $77,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
