Job Description - Research Opportunities

Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary We are advertising for a highly motivated individual to join Dr. Roheena Panni's research laboratory in the Department of Surgery. We are using multiple animal and in vitro model systems as described in our recent publications; (Panni et al., Science Translational medicine, 2019, Lander et al., Cancer Discovery 2022; Panni et al. Cancer Immunology Immunotherapy, 2014) to perform basic and translation research. We combine genetic, genomic, molecular, and biochemical approaches to develop novel therapeutics for pancreatic cancer. The present opening is for an individual with experience in animal handling and experimental research. Job Description Working Conditions This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Salary Range Base pay is commensurate with experience. Preferred Qualifications * Analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and to communicate data in a clear, concise manner.
* Computer literacy, including the ability to use a variety of software packages to analyze data. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Candidates with additional education and experience are encouraged to apply. Grade Salary Range The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
