The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex is a premier hotel located in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids! The hotel is one of the largest properties in the state boasting 80,000 square feet of meeting space under one roof!
The Doubletree Cedar Rapids is looking for a Group Sales Manager to join their amazing team of 9 to handle the Association (State, Regional, and National) market. The ideal candidate will have 1 + years of group sales experience. Ideally looking for someone local to the Cedar Rapids market but would be open to someone remote within 2-hour drive time to the hotel. (Des Moines, Coralville, Minneapolis).This is great opportunity to work with an amazing team that had a record breaking 2022 in all areas of goals and team member surveys and to work alongside an amazing Director of Sales & General Manager who is all about employee engagement and morale, as well as providing amazing customer service to all groups!
What will I be doing?
As a Sales Manager at Doubletree Cedar Rapids , you would be responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Respond to and close qualified inquiries from potential customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.
Initiate new sales, prospect, and qualify leads
Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
Conduct property site visits and answer questions
Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate and close contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business
Develop plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts.
