We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for the continued operational success of GroveStreet’s Management Company. The individual will serve as a trusted member of a close-knit team and will have the opportunity to work with various members of the Finance Department and Senior Management.

Responsibilities

Senior Accountant

• In conjunction with the Controller, oversee all accounting matters pertaining to the firm’s Management Company, including bookkeeping for management fee income, intercompany transfers / reimbursements, and preparation of quarterly financial statements and loan compliance certificates.
• Prepare, process, and submit payroll on a bi-monthly basis. Gather and organize appropriate information related to each pay period, including employee deductions for co-investment capital calls, expense reimbursements, 401(k) and direct deposit information.
• Lead the process for reimbursement of expense payments by the Management Company on behalf of the firm’s investment partnership and co-investment vehicles.
• Review and approve expense reports and AMEX summaries, overseeing the work of the firm’s A/P Accountant.
• Monitor cash to ensure the cash needs of the firm are consistently met. Complete monthly cash reconciliations.
• Support the annual audit and tax compliance process by serving as liaison between GroveStreet and the firm’s external auditors / tax preparers.
• Assume various ad-hoc responsibilities as needed, including support of the HR function. 

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting, finance, economics or business management.
• Prior audit, payroll, or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the asset management / private equity industry is desirable but not required.
• Strong computer skills including a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Professional. Experience with Intuit QuickBooks and/or ADP Payroll & HR software is a plus.
