The Automotive High Performance Compute (HPC) team is seeking a Sr. Director of systems architecture & product management to manage the system engineering functions for automotive SOC product line of all our current and next generation HPC products, with a critical role to accelerate the development of next generation of AI, Machine Learning (ML) and automotive networking solutions in the field of ADAS/Autonomous Driving and Software-Defined-Vehicle (SDV). The position is an excellent opportunity to take a senior executive leadership role and collaborate with various global teams including SOC design, software development and product marketing to expand automotive SoC solutions in the fast-growing world of automotive embedded processing, digital cockpit, and domain fusion ECUs. This high-impact role will enable a successful candidate to deliver value by defining and driving with his team the deployment of robust reference automotive systems (hardware and software), including multi-party and in-house software stacks applications and contribute to transforming the future of mobility.
Principle Accountabilities
The person will have a high visible role in fueling the growth of Renesas fast-growing line of SoC and software products for automotive applications. Success requires a clear understanding of overall embedded automotive ECUs, and broad knowledge of automotive OSs, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and neural networks, computer vision, camera, radar and Lidar sensors as well as graphics and display in an automotive environment.
The systems architecture engineering director’s responsibilities include working closely with senior leaders, key customers (Tier1 and OEMs) as well as industry partners to secure design-ins and revenue, making sure while working with the hardware and software development teams that the overall Renesas’s automotive system solutions stay ahead of market requirements and meets customer needs and KPIs.
The successful candidate must have strong self-motivation and sense of initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a truly global environment across various functional organizations such as Applications Engineering, Software development, Design Engineering, Product Marketing, and Sales. He must contribute actively to the transformational changes that bring the best out of a multicultural workforce.
Responsibilities
The expected annual pay range for this position is $192,500 - $289,000. This position is also eligible for bonus pay. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
