In the position as senior automotive systems architect, you will be a key member of the systems solutions team within Micron’s Embedded Business Unit. This is a customer facing role that will work closely with the Tier 1 customers, OEMS, and chipset vendors to propose solutions based on state-of-the art and emerging memory technologies as they are applied to current and future generation automotive infotainment, telematics and advanced driving assistance platforms!

The individual will partner closely with sales and marketing to find the right solution for the customer’s challenges. Additionally, through extensive understanding of the automotive market and associated trends, this individual will develop product requirements to create, drive, and implement the next generation leading memory products!

LOCATION: Novi, MI

Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of automotive infotainment, telecommunication and driving assistance systems

• Knowledge of automotive, mobile or enterprise computing architectures

• System architecture experience in the following areas: PCIe, NVMe, NAND media management and algorithm, Firmware, DRAM technology, LPDDR, HBM, GDDR, NOR, semiconductor reliability, power and thermal management.

• Proven track record to carry out architectural studies.

• Experience in leading discussions with customers’ senior technical staff.

• Basic understanding of automotive functional safety and cyber security

• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Ability and track record to work across teams and geographies.

Education and Experience:

• PhD or MS or equivalent experience in computer science, electrical engineering

• 5 years proven experience
