Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Foundry Engineer Simulation  for JD Waterloo Works  located in Waterloo, IA , you will collaborate with experienced engineers to define project goals and requirements.  In addition, you will: 

  • Apply Magma simulation software to analyze and optimize casting processes for improved yield and reduced defects.
  • Generate detailed 3D models and drawings using Creo modeling software to enhance component design and manufacturability.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to integrate simulation and modeling outcomes into production workflows.
  • Assist in interpreting simulation results and translating them into actionable insights for process improvement.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience in Creo or other modeling software.
  • Basic understanding of materials properties and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Foundry process and tooling experience
  • Familiarity with Magma simulation software (or similar) 
  • Strong interest in casting processes, simulation, and 3D modeling.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • College Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
